About Queen Fern
Did you know that brown black ticked female Maine Coons display a stunning fur phenomenon called 'banding'? Each hair shaft features alternating light and dark bands, creating a mesmerizing 'salt-and-pepper' effect that shimmers in the light! This intricate pattern, caused by the agouti gene, gives their coat a unique depth and texture unlike solid-colored cats. It's like nature's own airbrush technique, where each hair becomes a tiny canvas of color!
